In the past few weeks while I haven’t been blogging as much as I’d like to, I have been quite busy working on a few other things that I think you’ll enjoy.
First and foremost, I’ve been putting most of my energy towards the February/March issue of Lonny magazine, out on virtual newsstands as of early this morning!
For our latest issue, we traveled to L.A. to get a sneak peak of one of Kelly Wearstler’s most recent projects – revamping the Avalon Hotel in Beverly Hills. We also got a chance to hang out with Betsy Burnham and her wonderful team (Thanks Max and Alyssa!) and check out their latest venture – Instant Space.
Since I’ve recently moved into a brand new space of my own, I picked up tons of ideas – from organizing (see Victoria Thomspson’s jewelry armoire on page 200… out of control) to painting (Lizzie Bailey’s apartment on page 46 is chock full of sweet paint tricks). And using graphic wallpaper in tiny spaces? Ryan Korban (page 98) and Antonia Thompson (page 190) have the right idea!

In addition to all of these great tips, I was also turned on to lots of amazing resources such as: 20 x 200, Global Table, Jouer Cosmetics, and lots more. I also learned that eBay, Etsy, and even thrift stores can turn up lots of amazing finds if you just have the patience to look around.
Finally, Michelle and I have been working on some exciting new things for Rubie Green. Check out the new “Ellie Bag” in the How-To guide on page 22 :)
Hope you enjoy all that I’ve been up to and check back soon for some Valentine’s Day outfits from Amanda that will make any heart skip a beat!
